The tournament was contested at the par 72, 6046-yard Lakeview Golf Course.A breakout of food poisoning, forced two Spartan golfers to withdraw, thus not allowing UNCG to post four scores.The host school, James Madison (894) cruised to a 21-stroke victory over Maryland (915). George town was third at 918, followed by Princeton (920) in fourth.Jayme Langford (James Madison) captured the individual crown with rounds of 70-75-74 for a 54-hole total of 219. JMU teammate Carol Green finished two strokes back at 221, while Amber Weinerth of Penn State was third at 223.The UNCG women?s golf team will next compete in the Southern Conference Championship, April 23-25 at the famed Starmount Country Club in Greensboro. Mangini (76-78-74-228) ended up in a three-way tie with Maryland's Marie Harper (76-74-78-228) and UNC Greensboro's Polly Willett (77-73-78-228) for the 12th spot in the three-round, two-day tournament. Host James Madison's Jayme Langford (70-75-74-219) captured medalist honors. In the team standings, Elon (312-309-311-932) placed seventh out of 17 squads. The Phoenix finished just one shot out of fifth place, ending up behind James Madison (289-302-303-894), Maryland (301-308-306-915), Georgetown (307-305-306-918), Princeton (299-306-315-920), Ohio (302-315-314-931) and Penn State (303-314-314-931).
