Phoenix Women's Soccer Signs Four

ELON, N.C. -- Elon University women's soccer coach Paul Webster today announced that he has signed four players to National Letters of Intent for the 2004 season. Joining the Phoenix program will be Amy Cahill (Virginia Beach, Va./Kempsville HS), Kelly Constantino (Strongsville, Ohio/Strongsville HS), Jessica Hartman (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte Catholic HS) and Tina Longo (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac HS).

Cahill, a 5-6 goalkeeper, has been a member of the Virginia ODP State Team for three years. She has helped her squad reach the finals of the Miami Orange Bowl Classic and claim titles at both the Bethesda Tournament and the Kirkwood Tournament. Amy is the daughter of Paul and Colleen Cahill and played her prep soccer for Lauren Ramey at Kempsville High.

Constantino, a 5-2 midfielder/forward, has twice earned best offensive player honors as a prep. In 2003, she was named First Team All-Pioneer Conference, First Team All-Greater Cleveland and Third Team All-State. Constantino helped to lead Jon Felton's Strongsville High team to a state title in 2002 and a state runner-up finish 2003. She has also been a member of the Cleveland Futbol Club Premier Team for five years. Kelly is the daughter of Joseph and Linda Constantino.

Hartman, a 5-4 midfielder, has earned All-Rocky River Conference, All-District and All-Mecklenberg County distinction as a prep for Gary Halett's Charlotte Catholic squad. She has helped lead Charlotte Catholic to North Carolina 2A State Championships in both 2002 and 2003. Her Charlotte Soccer Club squad has claimed state titles in 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002. Jessica is the daughter of Charlie and Marsha Hartman.

Longo, a 5-4 midfielder, has been a member of the New York ODP team for five seasons. As a prep she has been named both all-league and all-section. She helped Mahopac High to the 2003 Orange Classic Championship. Longo's Y-League team was also a finalist in 2003. Tina is the daughter of Sal and Millie Longo.

Elon University is an NCAA Division I member of the Southern Conference.
