Wilson Paces Bulldogs At Weems Baskins

Columbia, SC - Freshman Will Wilson seized second-place in the steeplechase as The Citadel traveled to the University of South Carolina to participate in the annual Weems Baskin Sprint Relays last weekend.

Wilson's silver medal performance with a time of 10:25.99 set the pace for the Bulldogs, as the men earned five more top-five finishes. Senior Alex Prince crossed the finish-line with a time of 1:55.03 in the 800-meter to grab the fourth spot, while freshman Cameron Easley ran a 10.96 in the 100-meter to finish fourth. Sophomore Chris Petty and senior Chris Franklin took the fourth and fifth places in the shot put with distances of 41-05.75 and 41-00.50, respectively.

The Bulldogs return to action Friday-Saturday, March 26-27, in Gainesville, FL. The Florida Relays are slated to begin at 9AM at the University of Florida's Percy Beard Track.
