Appalachian State Looks Impressive in Their First Outdoor Meet of the 2004 Season

March 20 - The Mountaineers showed no signs of rust in their first outdoor meet of the 2004 season as they began their drive to defend the Southern Conference Outdoor Track and Field titles. Ernest Wiggins won the 100-meter dash in a scorching 10.23 seconds, easily qualifying himself for the Regional Championships in May. Other solid performances included Tondra White winning the heptathlon for the ladies and Brendon Helms winning the 5,000 meters in impressive fashion for the men. For full results, click here.

March 13-14 - Two Lady Mountaineers competed at the National Indoor Championships this past weekend, both falling a bit short of scoring.
