CofC Womens Golf Fifth After Two Rounds of USF Invitational

Bradenton, Fla. The College of Charleston shot 313 the first round and 308 the second to finish fifth after the first day of the Waterlefe/USF Invitational being held at the Waterlefe Golf and River Club in Bradenton, Fla. Miami leads with a 606, while Mississippi follows with a 608. Charlestons 621 total is just six strokes out of fourth place and 14 from first.

Amber Kuss leads the Cougars with a 153 for a tie at 15th, while Angie Hill is tied for 20th with her 155. Tied for 28th is Kelley Groff with her 157 and tied for 36 is Gretchen Zoeller with a two-round total of 158. Rounding out the Charleston effort is Sapna Patel, who is tied for 44th with a 160. Adrienne Millican, of East Carolina, leads the event with a 146.

The Cougars play the final round beginning Tuesday morning.
