SoCon Men's Tennis Results, Monday, March 15

Chattanooga 4, Wofford 3

Despite splitting the six singles matches Sunday, the Wofford
men's tennis team fell 4-3 at Chattanooga.

At the No. 1 singles seed, Kent Ball continued his dominant
spring by posting a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Alex Mabred. Brandon Smith
also posted another triumph this spring with a 6-2, 6-1 decision over
Mark Flynn at the No. 5 position.

Chris Barlow recorded a 6-3, 6-1 win over Thomas Knizat during
the No. 3 singles match.

In doubles action, the Terriers earned a win at the No. 3 slot
as Smith and Alex Fridzon handed Marian Axente and Tim Kutschera an 8-1
loss.

With the loss, Wofford drops to 6-5 and 1-2 in Southern
Conference play. The Mocs improve to 5-9 overall and 1-4 in league
action.

The Terriers host SoCon foe Appalachian State Thursday in their
next match. The contest is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. at the Reeves
Tennis Center.
