Monique Gesualdi named national Collegiate Player of the Week

Furman University sophomore Monique Gesualdi was named national Collegiate
Player of the Week in the Oct. 29 edition of Golf World Magazine.

Gesualdi recorded a career-low 69 in the opening round of the Lady Paladin
Invitational, Oct. 22-24, at the Furman University Golf course. In the
second round, she recorded a 70 in the first bogey-free round of her
career, and closed with a 74 to earn medalist honors by two shots over
teammate Jenny Suh and the University of Georgia's Kelly Froelich.

In addition, Gesualdi's three-under performance keyed Furman's team
championship in a field that included second-ranked Auburn, fourth-ranked
Georiga, and four other ranked teams.
