Davidson Track Among National Leaders

DAVIDSON, N.C. - In the most recent issue of The NCAA News (Aug. 4, 2003), the Davidson's men's track and field team was noted as one of the best in the nation academically.

The cumulative grade point average of the Wildcat track squad was 3.220, which tied the team for third highest in the nation with Dartmouth. Only Rice (3.320) and Saint Francis (Pa.) (3.263) had better team GPAs.

"I am real proud of the guys," stated Davidson head coach Gary Andrew. "They are committed to excelling in both academics and athletics."
