Elon Women's Soccer Class Ranked

NEW YORK, NY -- Elon University's incoming women's soccer class has been ranked among the best in the Southeast by Soccer Buzz Magazine. Of the schools in the region, which includes all NCAA Division I teams from North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Alabama, Elon ranked 24th.

North Carolina topped the regional rankings, while nine of the top-10 programs hail from either the ACC or SEC. Three of Elon's Southern Conference foes were also ranked: College of Charleston, UNC Greensboro and Davidson.

Phoenix head coach Paul Webster's class of nine freshmen hail from seven states. There are three forwards, three midfielders, two defenders and one keeper in this incoming class. It includes former Upper St. Clair MVP Jessica Geguzis (Lock Haven, PA), prep career 30-goal scorer Jaclyn Immordino (Ewing, NJ), all-state honoree Monica Houseworth (Casselbury, FL), 2002 Florida State Cup Championship team member Cheryl Sanchez (Winter Park, FL), All-Henderson County recipient Ashley Condon (Hendersonville, NC), three-time Georgia state championship team member Kelly Knowles (Dunwoody, GA), Connecticut state ODP team member Jenna Woolley (Hartford, CT), First Team All-South Jersey honoree Alisa Petitt and Elizabeth Von Doersten (St. Louis, MO) who helped lead Ursuline Academy to a #10 ranking in the Midwest.
