Stewart Named Wofford's Woman of the Year

Women's soccer player Faith Stewart has been named Wofford's
2003 NCAA Woman of the Year. The award is the highest honor awarded
annually to one graduating female student-athlete.

A senior from Lilburn, Ga., Stewart graduated with a 3.8 GPA
while majoring in biology. During her senior year, she was inducted to
Phi Beta Kappa and was also a member of Blue Key. She was also a first
team Verizon Academic All-District selection.

Stewart also led the women's soccer team in scoring each of the
last three seasons and has been an All-SoCon selection.

Stewart was recently honored as Wofford's 2003 Bradshaw Award
recipient, an award given only in years in which there is a graduating
senior whose strong academics, athletics, leadership and integrity best
embodies the epitome of a Wofford student-athlete.

She was also the co-recipient of this year's Houle Award, given
to the graduating senior with the highest grade point average.
