Wofford Promotes Allen

The Wofford College men's basketball program has announced the promotion
of assistant coach Jimmy Allen to associate head coach.

Allen will be entering his second season on head coach Mike Young's
Terrier staff. Allen was previously an assistant for six years at Navy,
helping guide the Midshipmen to a pair of Patriot League championships
and NCAA Tournament berths.

Allen is involved in all aspects of the Wofford men's basketball
program, including recruiting, on-floor coaching, scouting, and
day-to-day administrative duties.

"Jimmy is very good and has meant a great deal to me and our basketball
program here at Wofford," Young said. "This promotion better
illustrates his contributions and responsibilities within our staff and
we are fortunate to have someone of his abilities working with us."

Like Young, Allen graduated from Emory & Henry. Upon his graduation in
1993, Allen worked three years at his alma mater before heading to Navy.
