Furman's Brandi Jackson Named All-America

Furman senior Brandi Jackson was recognized by the National Golf Coaches Association as second-team All-America, it was announced Friday night at the NGCA banquet in conjunction with the NCAA Championships in West Lafayette, Ind.

Jackson becomes the first Furman athlete to be honored by the NGCA since 2001, when Jennifer Perri was received honorable mention. Jen Hanna, in 1998, earned first team honors, while Caroline Peek took first team in 1993, honorable mention in 1994, and second team in 1995. In all, eight Lady Paladins on 15 occasions have been honored by the NGCA as first-team, second team, or honorable mention All-America.

In addition, Jackson was honored as All East Region, by virtue of her first place finish at the NCAA East Region Championship on May 10th.
