Lebo Withdraws From Iowa State Search

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.---Chattanooga head men's basketball coach Jeff Lebo has
withdrawn his name from consideration for the head coaching position at
Iowa State, he announced May 13.

"I am flattered that Iowa State had an interest in me," Lebo said. "Iowa
State is a first-class institution, and it has a first-rate athletics
director in Bruce Van De Velde. However, I have withdrawn my name from
consideration for this position, and I am looking forward to coaching at
Chattanooga next year."

Lebo and his wife, Melissa, returned to Chattanooga Tuesday following a
Monday visit to the Ames, Iowa, campus. He met with UTC Chancellor Bill
Stacy and Athletics Director Steve Sloan Tuesday afternoon to relay his
decision to withdraw his name.
