ELON, NC - Blake Wertz and Brennan Farrell each registered goals as Elon blanked Campbell 2-0 in non-conference men's soccer action Thursday afternoon at Rudd Field.

Wertz sank a goal at the 33:53 mark to give the Phoenix (5-10-1) an eventual 1-0 halftime advantage. Hank Miller and Anthony Catalano each logged assists on the play. Farrell netted an unassisted insurance goal at 79:48.

Elon out-shot the Fighting Camels 17-9, including 5-2 in shots on goal. Phoenix goalkeeper Taylor Saxe collected a pair of saves en route to his fourth shutout victory of the season. Campbell goalie William Holland also snared two saves.

Elon returns to action at 2 p.m. Sunday when it hosts High Point at Rudd Field for Senior Day, concluding the regular season for the Phoenix. Campbell (3-14-1) hosts UNC Asheville at 4 p.m. Saturday for its Senior Day game.
