Furman's Clark Named Preseason All-America

CHICAGO -- Furman men's soccer standout Ricardo Clark was one of 11
players named to the Soccer America preseason All-America team this week.

Clark, who is currently in Spain competing with the United States
Under-20 National Team, is a sophomore for the Paladins. He was the
youngest player selected to the preseason All-America team.

Clark recorded one assist as a freshman while battling injuries a year
ago. Now healthy, he is expected to anchor the Paladins midfield this
season.

Earlier this week, Furman was ranked 13th in Soccer America's
preseason poll. The Paladins are also ranked in College Soccer News'
preseason poll (10th) and the NSCAA poll (21st).

The Paladins open the season Friday at The Citadel and will return
home to host the LandRover/Spinx Furman Invitational September 6-8 with
matches against Butler and Creighton.
