Wofford Adds Assistant Coach

The Wofford College men's basketball program has announced the hiring of
Mark Prosser as an assistant coach.

Prosser is a 2002 graduate of Marist College and the son of Wake Forest
Head Coach Skip Prosser.

"Mark is a young, energetic guy who wants to get into coaching," Wofford
Head Coach Mike Young said. "He comes from a coaching background and
was a player at Marist. We're very excited to have him with us."

Prosser saw action as a reserve forward at Marist before a knee injury
prematurely ended his playing career. He served as a student assistant
this past season for the Red Foxes.

"I'm real excited about the opportunity to learn and begin a coaching
career under Coach Young," Prosser said. "I very much appreciate the
chance to come to Wofford. The people I met on my interview made me
feel at home."

A native of Wheeling, W.Va., Prosser averaged 18 points and seven
rebounds per game during his final season at Lawrenceville Prep. He
earned honorable-mention All-America honors from Street & Smith's in
addition to being selected to the USA Today All-State Team.
