Wofford Names Women's Soccer Assistant Coach

Ashley Horton has been named Assistant Coach for the
Wofford women's soccer program. She will assist Coach
Amy Kiah with all aspects of the Terrier program.

Prior to coming to Wofford, Horton gained coaching
experience while working summer camps, including four
years at the UNC Greensboro camp and three years at the
prestigious UNC camp. She also coached club ball in
Greensboro, including the Twisters soccer club.

Horton is a recent graduate of UNC Greensboro, where she
earned four varsity letters as a defensive player with
the Spartan women's soccer team. While in Greensboro,
she was a member of three Southern Conference
championship squads and two regular season championships.
Her teams went to the NCAA tournament during three of her
four years, including two trips to the second round. She
also played one season with the W-League's Piedmont
Spark, a semi-professional team in North Carolina.

Horton, who hails from Kernersville, N.C., graduated from
UNC Greensboro in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in
psychology.
