Warfield, Bullock Named To TSWA All-State Squad

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- Lady Mocs guard Miranda Warfield was named to the
Tennessee Sports Writers Association Women's College All-State First Team.
Meanwhile, senior guard Damita Bullock was named the TSWA's All-State
Second Team.

Warfield, a rising junior who was named the 2002 Southern Conference
Tournament Most Outstanding Player, led the Lady Mocs with a 13.8
points-per-game average. She led the SoCon in 3-point shooting with a
sizzling 43.8 percent.

A product of Dickson County High School, Warfield shot 71.7 percent from
the free-throw line, and she pulled 4.6 rebounds per game. She hit more
than 50 percent of her 3-pointers in the last half of the season.

Bullock, a two-time SoCon Player of the Year, was second on UTC's scoring
chart with 12.0 ppg, and she led the Lady Mocs with 6.1 rebounds per
outing. She also canned 75.3 percent of her free throws and dished out 60
assists. Bullock was named 2002 All-Southern Conference all three years at
UTC, and she ranks in UTC's career top 10 in eight offensive categories.

Warfield joins Vanderbilt All-American Chantelle Anderson, Tennessee's Kara
Lawson, Austin Peay's Brooke Armistead and Tennessee Tech's Janet Holt on
the TSWA First Team. The rest of the second team includes Vandy's Zuzi
Klimesova, Tennessee Tech's Misty Garrett, Tusculum's Kristen New and
Lincoln Memorial's Kara Jackson.

Vanderbilt coach Jim Foster was named state Coach of the Year.
