Wofford's Lehr Signs With Independent Team

Former Wofford pitcher George Lehr has continued his baseball career by
signing with the Chillicothe (Ohio) Paints of the Frontier League.

An All-SoCon selection for the Terriers, Lehr will be utilized as a
middle reliever for the independent professional team.

Lehr took part in 19 of the Terriers' 26 wins this spring. He tied a
single-season school record while ranking among the SoCon and national
leaders with 11 victories. The Largo, Fla., native also set Wofford
marks for saves in a season (eight) and career (13). In SoCon action
this year, Lehr had six wins and four saves to account for 10 of
Wofford's 14 victories.

Lehr was twice selected as the SoCon Pitcher of the Week this year and
earned the honor three times overall. Lehr appeared in a school record
112 games in his career, a mark that places him third on the SoCon's
all-time list.
