UTC's Lebo Named Tennessee Coach of the Year

NASHVILLE---Jeff Lebo, Chattanooga's new men's basketball coach and former
head coach at Tennessee Tech, was named the Tennessee Sports Writers
Association's Men's College Coach of the Year, the organization announced
Monday.

Lebo led Tennessee Tech to the school's best-ever record at 27-7 in 2001-02
and the quarterfinals of the NIT Tournament. He also guided the Golden
Eagles to a school-record 15-1 mark in the Ohio Valley Conference.

Two of Lebo's former Golden Eagle players were also honored on the
All-State Teams. Damien Kinloch was a first-team choice, and Cameron Crisp
was listed on the second team.

Lebo, a three-time Ohio Valley Conference Coach of the Year, was hired as
UTC's head coach April 5.
