Adam Laney Joins Wofford Soccer Staff

The Wofford men's soccer program has announced the hiring of Adam Laney as an assistant coach.

Laney will be responsible for training goalkeepers, assisting with recruiting, and various other day to day operations.

"I'm excited for the experience and excited about the changes in the program," Laney said. "Hopefully, [Head Coach Matt Kern] and I can come in and make an impact."

This will be Laney's first collegiate coaching job, though he recently completed a season as a co-head coach at Cathedral Academy in Charleston. He joins the Wofford staff after his spring graduation from Charleston Southern, where he earned a degree in kinesiology. He played in the goalkeeper spot two seasons for the Buccaneers. He spent his first two years as a keeper for Southern Conference school UNC Greensboro.

"It's obvious that he's got a very good soccer background," Kern said. "He'll be extremely hard working and very ethical. I'm very excited about having him on board."
