Chattanooga SID Romero Receives Honor

Jeff Romero, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga sports information director for the past five years, was honored recently at the All-America Football Foundation annual awards banquet in Memphis.

Romero received the Elmore "Scoop" Hudgins award during the 41st annual banquet of champions. The award is given to SIDs who distinguish themselves in their field.

"Obviously, this is a very flattering award," Romero said. "I've been very fortunate to work with some outstanding people in my field, such as David Housel (now athletic director at Auburn), Bud Ford (Tennessee) and Langston Rogers (Mississippi)."
