College of Charleston Baseball Cracks Top 35

Charleston, S.C. -- The College of Charleston baseball team is
ranked 32nd in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association
Top 35 poll released this week.

It's the first national ranking for the school's baseball program
which resumed play in 1991 after an absence of over 50 years. The Cougars
(16-5, 3-0) are coming off a three-game sweep at Southern Conference foe
Furman this past weekend.

Charleston plays host to league member and rival The Citadel in a
three-game series this weekend at Patriots Point Field. The opening game
of the series is Friday at 6:00 p.m., Saturday's game begins at 3:00 p.m.
and the finale on Sunday starts at 1:00 p.m.
