The Atlanta Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America honored Wofford College starting halfback and Student Body President Ben Foster as a Peach Of An Athlete at its 18th annual Role Model Awards Banquet last night in Atlanta, Ga. A native of Kennesaw, Ga., Foster is a Dean's List student majoring in biology. He was a Verizon Academic All-District selection this past season. Foster has served in the Big Brother & Big Sisters Program, Habitat for Humanity, and Peer Tutor Program. He also developed the Stop The Violence Collaboration that targeted middle school students to come up with ways to combat violence. He is also a member of the Twin Towers cabinet at Wofford, which is responsible for initiating programs for the student body to become involved in community service.
